Samsung Galaxy A14 vs Samsung Galaxy A33 5G: Differences
There are major differences between Samsung A14 and A33 5G and all of them are discussed below.
1.) Design
Samsung A14 uses an Infinity-V display while the A33 5G uses an Infinity-U display both of which housed their selfie camera.
Samsung A33 5G has very thin bezels across the top and sides while the bottom could be thinner. The Galaxy A14 on the other hand has noticeably big bezels across the sides and bottom. This is not however unique to the A14, most entry-level smartphones do.
Samsung A14 rear camera is arranged vertically with each sensor standing on its own and having a ring around them. The A33 5G on the other hand has all its sensors held in a camera module.
Overall, Samsung A14 has a flatter display and back compared to the Samsung A33 5G with slight curves here and there. Samsung A14 has a texture-like finish at the back while the A33 5G has a smooth finish.
Samsung A33 5G does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack while the Galaxy A14 does. The Galaxy A33 5G is equipped with IP67 dust and water resistance up to 1 meter deep for about 30 minutes while the A14 does not come with any IP ratings.
Samsung A33 5G is available in Black, Blue, White, and Peach colors while the Samsung A14 is available in Black, Silver, Dark Red, and Green colors.
2.) Display
Samsung A14 is a 6.6 inches PLS LCD display smartphone with a 2408 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and a standard 60Hz refresh rate.
Samsung A33 5G is a 6.4 inches Super AMOLED display smartphone with a 2400 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and a 90Hz high refresh rate.
While the Samsung A14 display is great especially when you put its price into consideration, the Samsung A33 5G is better in the sense that it is sharper, smoother, and has excellent color reproduction.
You will enjoy movies, streaming, gaming, and surfing the internet better on the Samsung A33 5G display.
3.) Performance
Samsung A14 is powered by Exynos 850 processor with Mali-G52 GPU while Samsung A33 5G is powered by an Exynos 1280 processor with Mali-G68 GPU.
Samsung A33 5G processor is faster, more powerful, and more efficient than the Galaxy A14 processor.
To assist the processing power, Samsung A14 has a 4GB and 6GB RAM options which can be paired with 64GB and 128GB internal storage options while Samsung A33 5G has RAM options of 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB which can be paired with 128GB and 256GB internal storage options.
Samsung A14 comes with a dedicated SD card slot while the Galaxy A33 5G has a hybrid slot. This means you can either use two sim cards or one sim card and an SD card on the A33 5G at a time.
Both smartphones are packed with a non-removable 5000 mAh Li-Po battery capacity. However, while the A14 only support up to 15 watts of wired charging, the A33 5G support up to 25 watts of wired charging.
Neither of them supports wireless and reverse wireless charging.
It takes a while (about 2 hours) to fully charge the A14 from 0% while the A33 5G takes about 1 hour and about 15 minutes to be fully charged from 0%.
You can easily get almost two days of usage from a single charge on both smartphones even as a heavy user.
4.) Camera
Samsung A14 is equipped with a 50MP primary camera, 5MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro lens at the rear and a 13MP camera at the front.
Samsung A33 5G on the other hand is equipped with a 48MP camera with OIS, 8MP ultrawide camera, 5MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth-sensing camera. It also uses a 13MP selfie camera.
Samsung A14 can shoot 1080P videos at 30fps on both the rear and front cameras while the Samsung A33 5G can shoot 4K videos at 30fps as well as 1080P videos at both 30fps and 60 fps on the rear camera. It can also shoot 4K and 1080P videos at 30fps on the selfie camera.
Samsung A33 5G is the better device in this aspect too, as it takes better and sharper pictures and videos with lots of details.
