Comparison and Differences Between Samsung Galaxy A24 and Samsung Galaxy A14
1.) Design and Display
- Samsung A24 has a 6.5-inch display size while the Galaxy A14 has a 6.6-inch display size
- Galaxy A24 has a Super AMOLED display while A14 has a PLS LCD display
- Samsung A24 has a 90Hz high refresh rate while A14 comes with a traditional 60Hz refresh rate
- The Galaxy A24 has a display resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels while Samsung A14 has a 2408 x 1080 pixels screen resolution
- Samsung A24 weighs 195 grams compared to Galaxy A14’s 201 grams

Samsung A14 has a slightly larger display of 6.6 inches compared to Galaxy A24’s 6.5 inches.
However, the Samsung A24 boasts of a Super AMOLED panel that is well known for vibrant colors and deep blacks while the Galaxy A14 features a PLS LCD panel.
The A24 takes the lead in terms of high refresh rate with its 90Hz display offering smoother scrolling and improved responsiveness. This a feature that is totally absent on the A14 as it comes with the traditional 60Hz refresh rate.
Both devices offer a similar screen resolution and pixel density, ensuring sharp and detailed visuals. The two models have a negligible difference in resolution and pixel density.
Samsung A24 is slightly lighter and smaller compared to A14. It has a thinner profile which makes it more compact and therefore more comfortable to hold for a long period.
The front of the A24 is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which is absent on the A14 and their back and frame are made from plastic material.
Neither the Samsung A24 nor the A14 offers water resistance capabilities so caution should be exercised near water.

Samsung A24 runs on One UI 5.1 while the Samsung A14 uses the lighter One UI Core 5.1. Both versions of One UI are based on Android 13 providing a modern software experience.
The Galaxy A24 is equipped with a 6nm Mediatek Helio G99 processor featuring an octa-core configuration with 2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 and 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 cores.
In comparison, Samsung A14 uses an 8nm, Exynos 850 chipset offering an octa-core setup with 8 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 cores.
The Samsung A24’s processor provides slightly better performance capabilities in terms of multitasking and speed of response to a command.
The Galaxy A24 incorporates the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU compared to the Samsung A14’s Mali-G52 MC2.
Both GPUs offer decent performance when it comes to graphics-related tasks but the Mali-G57 MC2 in the A24 provides a slight edge in terms of graphics rendering capabilities.
Samsung A24 gives you the option to choose between 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB RAM compared to the Galaxy A14 which is available with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM.
The additional 8GB RAM option in the A24 provides more flexibility for users with higher multitasking needs.
Regarding internal storage, the Samsung A24 comes with 128GB while the Samsung A14 offers options for either 64GB or 128 GB.
Both devices support expandable storage via a dedicated microSD card slot which allows users to further increase their storage capacity.
Both Samsung A24 and A14 are packed with a 5000 mAh battery capacity ensuring extended usage on a single charge. Which is up to a day for heavy users and up to 2 days for average users.
The Samsung A24 offers faster charging with 25 Watts compared to the A14’s 15 Watts. However, neither device supports wireless charging.
Wired charging on the A24 takes about 1 hour and 25 minutes from 0% to 100% and almost 2 hours on A14 from 0% to 100%.
Summary: Samsung A24 and A14 run on Android 13 with a different flavor of One UI and differ in processing power and memory.
The Samsung A24 provides a more powerful processor and GPU, along with a wider range of RAM options.
On the other hand, the Galaxy A14 offers a different choice of internal storage.
Battery-wise, both devices have the same capacity, but the A24 supports faster charging.
3.) Camera

- Both phones support 1080P video recording on their front camera.
Both devices’ main camera boasts of a 50 MP sensor ensuring high-res images. However, the Samsung A24 takes it a step further with Optical Image Stabilization allowing for better low-light performance and stabilized shots.
Samsung A14 and A24 feature a 5 MP ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture. This enables you to capture expansive shots with a wider field of view that is ideal for group photos.
Both smartphones offer a 2 MP macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture. This allows you to capture intricate details and close-up shots, although the resolution is not as high as the main camera.
As for the video recording capabilities of these devices, both the A24 and the A14 support up to 1080P resolution at 30fps. While this isn’t the highest video resolution available, it is still capable of producing decent-quality videos.
The Samsung A24 features a 13 MP selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture while the Galaxy A14 offers a slightly narrower aperture of f/2.0 for its 13 MP camera.
The wider aperture on the A24 results in slightly better low-light performance and improved depth of field.
Just like the rear cameras, the front cameras on both devices support 1080P video recording at 30 fps, ensuring high-quality video calls and selfie videos.
Summary: Samsung A24 and A14 showcase similar rear and front camera setups.
The main differences lie in the rear camera are the aperture and the presence of OIS on the A24.
The Samsung A24 excels in low-light photography and offers better stabilization for sharper shots. However, if you don’t require these specific features, the Samsung A14 still provides a solid camera experience.
4.) Sensors and Connectivity
While both Samsung A14 and A24 come equipped with an accelerometer, proximity, and compass sensors, only the Samsung A24 has a gyroscope.
Samsung A24 supports Bluetooth 5.3 while the Samsung A14 supports Bluetooth 5.1.
Both smartphones feature a loudspeaker and have a 3.5mm headphone jack. But do not support FM radio.
Summary: Samsung A24 offers a slightly better sensor suite with the inclusion of a gyroscope.
However, in terms of connectivity and multimedia features, the two devices are fairly similar with minor differences in Bluetooth versions.
