5 Main Differences Between Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and Galaxy S22 Ultra

1.) Protection

Samsung S23 Ultra’s display and back are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 while the display and back of the Galaxy S22 Ultra are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+.

2.) Processor

Samsung S23 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with Adreno 740 GPU while the Samsung S22 Ultra is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with Adreno 730 GPU.

The 8 Gen 2 processor has a faster and more efficient CPU and GPU. These improvements make the S23 Ultra a better smartphone overall in terms of performance and battery life.

3.) Camera

Both devices are equipped with a Quad rear camera and while they have virtually the same ultrawide, telephoto, and periscope telephoto lenses, the S23 Ultra uses a new 200MP primary/wide camera while the S22 Ultra uses 108MP primary/wide camera.

Samsung S23 Ultra can shoot up to 8K videos @24fps and 30fps but the S22 Ultra can only shoot up to 8K @24fps.

The S23 Ultra can also shoot slow-motion videos in 1080P @960fps while the S22 Ultra can shoot slow-mo videos in 720P @960fps.

Samsung S22 Ultra is equipped with a 40MP selfie camera while the S23 Ultra is equipped with a 12MP selfie camera. Even though it is a downgrade in MP, the S23 Ultra selfie camera takes better and more quality pictures than that of the S22 Ultra.

4.) Bluetooth and WiFi

Samsung S23 Ultra comes with Bluetooth 5.3 and a tri-band WiFi 6e while the Samsung S22 Ultra comes with Bluetooth 5.2 and a dual-band WiFi 6e.

5.) Internal Storage

Samsung S22 Ultra has internal storage options of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB while the S23 Ultra’s internal storage options are 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB.

Also, Samsung S23 Ultra uses UFS 4.0 storage which is 2 times faster than the UFS 3.1 storage in the S22 Ultra.
