Samsung Officially Announced the Galaxy A14 in Nigeria with FHD+ Display and MediaTek Helio G80 Processor
Samsung A14 was officially launched in Nigeria yesterday (March 7, 2023). It is different from the Samsung A14 5G that was announced in early January of this year. Samsung A14 is 4G only and it is the one that will be officially available in Nigeria.
The Galaxy A14 shares the same design as the A14 5G as a matter of fact, it is very difficult to tell them apart when placed side by side.
Samsung A14 features an Infinity-V display which houses its selfie camera and it is worth saying that the bottom bezels could be a little bit thinner.
It uses a 6.6 inches PLS LCD display with no high refresh rate, a 1080 x 2408 pixels screen resolution, and 400 PPI pixel density.
It continues the camera design trend of Samsung phones announced this year which has each camera sensor standing on its own and arranged vertically for the triple rear camera setup phones.
Samsung A14 is equipped with a 50MP main camera, 5MP ultrawide camera, and 2MP macro lens. The selfie camera is a 13MP sensor. You can shoot up to 1080P @30fps videos on both the rear camera and the front-facing camera.
The Galaxy A14 is powered by a 12nm Ocat-core MediaTek Helio G80 processor which uses Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. It runs on One UI Core 5 based on Android 13 out of the box.
It will be getting 2 years of OS upgrades and 4 years of security updates. Which is the commitment made to the A14 5G.
In Nigeria, Samsung A14 will be available in 4GB/64GB and 4GB/128GB RAM and internal storage options. There is also a dedicated microSD card space alongside the Dual Nano Sim support.
The Galaxy A14 is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery capacity with 15 watts of fast-wired charging support. It does not support wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
It supports NFC, comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack, and has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
Like the A14 5G, the Samsung A14 is available in Dark Red, Black, Silver, and Green colors.
At the time of launch, the 4GB/64GB cost NGN 116,900 while the 4GB/128GB cost NGN 126,900. You can stay up to date on the price of the Samsung Galaxy A14 in Nigeria here.
