The Samsung A14 5G is finally here and while it comes with a lot of hardware that is similar to its predecessor – the Samsung A13 5G, it does come with some upgrades too and I will be telling you all about them.

The Galaxy A14 5G launched as the first Samsung device of 2023 and also the first Samsung device to come with Android 13 pre-installed.

The A14 5G packs a 6.6-inches IPS LCD display featuring a Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz high refresh rate.

It is an infinity-V display with a slightly big bezel at the bottom similar to that of its predecessor. The volume button is on the right-hand side of the device just above the power button which also doubles as a fingerprint sensor. And yes, it comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Photography-wise, it comes with a triple rear camera that comprises 50MP wide/primary camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP depth-sensing camera. Its selfie camera is 13MP which is an upgrade from the A13 5G’s 5MP.

The camera arrangement is similar to what we got on the Samsung S22 Ultra last year where each of the cameras is standing on its own without a module holding them together.

This is a camera design that seems will be universal across most Samsung smartphones that will be launched this year.

Powering the A14 5G is MediaTek’s Dimensity 700 chipset and it is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery capacity with 15 watts charging speed.

As for the storage capacity and RAM, it is available in 4GB and 6GB RAM as well as in 64GB and 128GB internal storage. It also comes with a dedicated SD card slot that supports up to 1TB.

Samsung Galaxy A14 5G will be getting 2 Android 0S upgrades and 4 years of security updates. The Galaxy A14 5G is available in Dark Red, Black, Silver, and Light Green.

As for availability in Nigeria, it is still unknown at this point and there is a high chance that it won’t be officially available in Nigeria just like the Samsung A13 5G wasn’t and you might have to order it from Europe or the United States.

If this is the case, you might just want to go for the upcoming A14 (the 4G variant) or the A24. I will update you about this as things unfold.
